Eugene earns most votes at state committee meeting;
Wins majority in six out of eight regions;

PITTSBURGH, PA – Eugene DePasquale today won 52% of the Pennsylvania Attorney General endorsement vote from the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee.
Eugene earned the most votes out of all five candidates at the Democratic State Committee meeting, won the majority of votes in six out of eight regions, and built his case as the most electable Democrat statewide.
“I’m honored to be the top vote-getter at state committee,” said Eugene. “This win shows how much our message is resonating with folks all across the state.”
Eugene won both rounds of voting for the endorsement of state Attorney General at the Democratic state committee meeting. Two candidates failed to meet the threshold of support needed to advance to the second ballot. The second-place candidate on the second vote won only 24% of the vote.
“I’ve won statewide – twice – and I’ve won with Trump on the ballot,” said Eugene. “With abortion and other freedoms at stake, Democrats can’t roll the dice on someone who hasn’t proven they can win statewide.”
Pennsylvania’s primary election is on Tuesday April 23, 2024.
